About the Event
Learn about native bees at our inaugural native bees picnic in the garden! Three dates to choose from:
Sunday Feb 6,
Saturday Feb 12, or
Saturday Mar 5.
8:30am - 12:30 approx.
Location: Canungra Village Garden (community garden, in the grounds of Canungra State School)
Inc: Alex's 3 hour introduction to native bees and their pollination services. Discover the wonderful world of native bees: you'll learn about some of our most commonly observed solitary bees, as well as our stingless social bees. There will be plenty of take-home ideas for how to make your green-space bee-friendly to encourage our native pollinators. During the day, enjoy a picnic of fresh summer fruits, including our most delicious bee-pollinated fruits, sourced from local small business Off The Farm.
