DIY bee havens (2) (for kids)

This is a children's event. Children will receive a pre-made frame, and will have the chance to sand it down, and fill with their choice of bamboo, drilled timber and/or pine cones. This is an easy activity for little hands, and is suitable for ages 4-10. Bee hotels are designed to provide nesting habitat for solitary bees. The timber for these hotels is sourced locally as are all the inserts. Places are limited. Please see other dates (TBA) if this workshop is at capacity.  Parents/caregivers can elect to stay and assist their child, or they can take the hour for some "me-time". Children will not be painting the bee hotel during this workshop but can do so if they wish once they get it home (tip: use a water based external acrylic).
