Discover how Tullamore Farm encourage Native Bees to flourish in their fruit orchards and vegetable gardens.

Alex from Little Bee and Me will introduce you to native sting-less bees, their habitats and needs. View some of our Colony Native Bee Hives and discover how different they are to the introduced European Bee.

Did you know that most Native Bees don’t live in colonies. There are around 1800 different types of Native Bees in Australia and only 13 types live in colonies. Learn more about our most observed Solitary Bees in SEQ and how you can provide for them and how productive they can be for you.. Alex will focus on how to use a Bee Hotel (nesting habitat) to encourage more native bees into your garden.

Enjoy a relaxed morning tea, inc fruit sampling from the fresh produce. Tea and Coffee provided plus filtered Tullamore Rain water.

There will be plenty of take-home ideas on how to make your garden more attractive to our native bees.

Start at 9am and finish at 12.30 to 1pm
